Why do you think your character would work in this setting?

Oswald came unwillingly, but he's an opportunist. He describes himself as 'clever' as do many of his early enemies. He's able to see the larger picture and all the details that make it up, setting plots into motion without others being able to trace it all back to him until he's ready to pull the noose tight and hang them all with the rope they've been braiding for him.

So, he will be pissed at being there at first, but he's not going to be idle. He'll start building something and depending on how well it's built, is very likely to choose to stay and cultivate it. He doesn't easily abandon projects once he's begun them. It takes a lot for him to cut all ties after they've taken root.


How do you plan to expand their CR?

Oswald loves to have his fingers in all sorts of pots. While his current primary canon motivation is to overthrow the Falcone Family Underboss he works for and take over, he'll see the prime opportunity New Dodge offers in having no concrete mafia of it's own and starting from scratch there. This will lead to him contacting a wide range of people to set up what looks, on the surface, as totally legit business deals, while also digging into the criminal element and getting them organized.

Can't have organized crime without organization.


What will your character do for work?

After acclimating, he plans on taking over the brothel, turning it into a high-class Burlesque + Sex with talent club, and then using it as legal cover for his eventual creation and control of a New Dodge Mafia that makes it's profits primarily through money laundering of off-world cash, weapons smuggling, and some light protection rackets of various shops at the market place.
